The PCE-AQD 50 meter is specially designed for long-term monitoring of environmental conditions, for example, in offices, classrooms or lecture halls. The air quality meter has a carbon dioxide sensor up to 40,000 ppm, a temperature sensor with a measurement range between 0 ... 50 °C, an ambient humidity sensor with a measurement range between 0 ... 100% RH and a barometer with a measurement range between 300 . .. 2000 hPa. The measured values are displayed directly on the e-paper display of the measuring device. In addition, a color indicator is displayed on the screen depending on the carbon dioxide content of the air.
During the measurement, the meter can automatically record and save the readings as .csv on the micro SD card. This means that measurement data can be entered directly into the company's database and displayed in tables with graphical representations thanks to the software.
The environmental meter has an alarm function. The user has the ability to set the alarm limits. In the case of exceeding the limits, a visual and acoustic alarm is activated and when the measurement is again within limits it is automatically deactivated.
The measurement values are displayed numerically on the 2.7" display as well as graphically as it is possible to display the measurements with a histogram. Depending on the setting, the battery life is approximately 10 months before needing a charge. In addition to powering via the built-in battery , the device can also work via the micro USB charging cable.
