The PCE-BS laboratory balance is a lightweight, durable precision scale suitable for a variety of tasks. The stainless steel weighing platform is removable and cleanable. Calibration of this laboratory balance is done via external calibration weights (automatic calibration procedure) or in an accredited laboratory. The balance has four height-adjustable support feet and is powered by either 1.5V AA batteries for portable use or mains power (adapter available) for permanent installation.

- Piece count function with a choice of 10, 20, 50 or 100 pieces
- Tare mode in the middle of the range (can happen many times)
- Automatic activation of display illumination (when the measurement stabilizes, the illumination is activated)
