The PCE-PEL 20 pellet moisture tester was designed in collaboration with biomass power plant operators. Measures moisture content in sawdust pellets, wood chips, hay and straw, dried fruit
waste, shredded paper waste, sunflower husk, buckwheat husk, bran, wheat husk, corn stalk, ground grain etc. The hygrometer measures the resistance of the sample in order to obtain information about its moisture content. It is very important to choose the material to be measured and its temperature. The user should dip the 1000 mm long probe into the pile of pellets and after it is stabilized, the reading will appear on the hygrometer screen. The measurement is taken only at the tip of the sensor. It is recommended to carry out several measurements at different points of the pile in order to obtain an adequate overview of the water content.
