Flow cup viscosity meters are suitable for determining the flow time of Newtonian / marginally Newtonian fluids according to international standards and are often used in laboratories and industrial production. For measurement, the nozzle must be closed and the fluid to be measured must be poured into the flow cup. By placing the glass plate on the top of the cup, a gap is created which does not allow the flow of liquid and serves to place the cup on the tripod in order to measure the time. When the glass plate is then pulled from the flow cup, liquid flow from the nozzle begins and timing begins. Once the flow stops, the time measurement must also stop. For a relative price, this method is perfectly adequate in many areas. To ensure the accuracy of the cup, it is important to clean it thoroughly after each use. It is important to ensure that the surface inside the cup has not suffered any wear. Any scratches or remnants of dry material will affect further measurements.
