PCE-SG handheld refractometer for use with coolants, antifreeze, battery acid and cleaning products
The PCE-SG is a handheld refractometer used to determine the specific gravity (sg) of battery acid, the freezing point of propylene or ethylene glycol based refrigerants and cleaning products in degrees Celsius (°C). Maintaining the proper concentration of antifreeze in an engine can prevent costly repairs. The instrument also gives an indication of the charge level in the battery acid.
The high-quality focusing eyepiece provides the image of an easy-to-read scale on a translucent blue background. Ambient lighting provides ample illumination for clear reading of results.
