Belt tension meter for quick and accurate measurement
Memory up to 750 measurements / Easy operation / Multilingual menu / Measurement in Hz and N
The belt tension gauge is a visual measurement maintenance tool for determining belt tension force. This belt voltage measuring device consists of a display unit and a sensor head attached to a flexible arm, which facilitates measurement in hard-to-reach places. The device measures the tension (in N) and frequency (in Hz) of the belt when it is stationary.
A small push on the belt, perpendicular to the direction of tension, is enough to vibrate the belt. The meter with the sensor measures the natural frequency of the belt and displays it on the screen. In addition, it directly determines the actual belt tension force from the frequency and the optionally entered length and mass of the belt. However, it is not absolutely necessary to enter this data to take measurements directly with the belt tension meter. Units of measurement can be toggled between N (SI unit) and Pound Force (US unit). The display always shows the measured value as belt frequency in Hz. If the belt mass and length have been entered into the device, the belt tension in Newtons is also displayed. The user has the possibility to choose a navigation language in the menu (6 languages). For further analysis and quality assurance, the belt tension meter has a built-in memory, in which up to 750 records can be stored in 15 sets of 50 measurements.
The meter is delivered ready for use. The package includes the handheld unit, the standard sensor with the flexible arm, magnetic mount, batteries and instructions for use. An instrument case, a frequency beater, a tripod, and a measuring probe with a coiled cable and a longer gooseneck (for hard-to-reach zones) are available as options for the drive belt tension meter.

Why should belt strength be measured?
Measuring belts is always essential to optimally maintain machines and maximize their lifespan. With the help of the belt tension meter, the tension can be accurately determined when the belt is stationary. After the measurement, the user knows if the belt is optimally stretched and subsequently if the pulleys are precisely aligned.
