The pellet moisture meter PCE-PEL 20 was designed in collaboration with operators of biomass power generation plants. It measures the moisture content in pellets made from sawdust, wood chips, hay and straw, dried fruits
waste, shredded paper waste, sunflower husk, buckwheat husk, bran, wheat husk, corn stalk, ground grains, etc. The moisture meter measures the resistance of the sample to obtain information about its moisture. It is very important to select the material to be measured and its temperature. The user should immerse the 1000 mm long sensor into the pellet pile and once stabilized, the reading appears on the moisture meter display. The measurement is taken only at the sensor tip. It is recommended to perform multiple measurements at different points of the pile to achieve a sufficient overview of the water content.
