The PCE-PEL 20 is a portable handheld moisture analyser for pellets and biomass. It measures the moisture content of sawdust, wood chips, straw, hay, sunflower shells, buckwheat, corn and soy over a range of 10 ... 20 % with a resolution of 0.1 %.

It works by the resistance method, so the correct characteristic curve and temperature must be selected before measuring. Push the 1000 mm / 39.37" acid-proof steel probe into the pile and read the percentage once the value is stable. The probe measures only at its tip, so take several readings at different points across the pile.
