The PCE-pH 16 meter is . If you do not regularly check the pH value with the pool pH meter, damage may occur to fittings and other metal materials. An insufficient pH value also reduces the effectiveness of the pool's chemicals.

Using the pH meter makes determining the pH value particularly easy. With an accuracy of ± 0.1 pH and a reading of 0.01 pH, reliable and precise measurements are obtained. To perform a measurement, the protective cover of the electrode must be removed. The electrode should be thoroughly cleaned before use with a neutral pH liquid. After cleaning the electrode, the meter is ready for use. The user should immerse the electrode in water and then, within a few seconds, the measured value is clearly displayed on the instrument's screen. The data hold function allows the storage of measured values. To keep the measured value on the display, simply press the "Hold" button. The manufacturer recommends cleaning the pH meter electrode with a neutral pH liquid after each measurement. The user has the option to switch electrodes and recalibrate them.

To ensure accurate results in the long term, the meter should be calibrated at regular intervals. The meter can be manually adjusted at any time easily and quickly, provided the measurement electrode is immersed in pH 7 solution. When the value stabilizes, the correct measured value can be adjusted via the calibration screw at the top of the display using the supplied screwdriver. Subsequently, the user can check the calibration using other solutions (e.g. pH 4 and pH 10).

Equipment

To ensure high measurement accuracy, the pH meter should be regularly calibrated with the calibration solution provided in the package (pH 4.01 and pH 7.01). For proper maintenance, the electrode should be regularly cleaned with the cleaning solution, ideally after each use.

The PCE-TUM 20 is a portable handheld turbidimeter for analyzing water quality. The turbidity meter features two measurement ranges with automatic switching between 0 ... 50 NTU and 50 ... 1000 NTU for greater accuracy. For the lower turbidity measurement range, diffuse light or Nephelometry measurement methods are used. For the higher measurement range, an additional photodiode is placed on the opposite side. Using the included calibration solutions 0 NTU and 100 NTU, the meter can be adjusted and calibrated at any time. (Note: NTU means Nephelometric Turbidity Unit). An LED is used as the light source, operating at a wavelength of 830 nm in the infrared light spectrum and is therefore invisible to the human eye. Since the measurement is performed in the non-visible range, any coloring of the sample plays a very minor role in the measurement. With the arrangement of photodiodes at angles of 180° and 90°, the measurement of emitted light is used for the high measurement range and the measurement of scattered light for the low range. The PCE-TUM 20 turbidity meter meets all standards required by EN 27027 / ISO 7027.
