Portable Roughness Detector for Fast Roughness Detection / Large OLED Display / Measurement of Ra, Rq, Rsm, Rp, Rz, Rt, Rp, Rv, Rc / Numerical and Graphical Display
The PCE-RT 2000 roughness meter is used to accurately measure surface roughness. The roughness meter can be used on all surfaces. The roughness with the roughness measuring device is accurately recorded via the piezo probe head. The surface tester measures the parameters Ra, Rq, Rsm, Rsk, Rz, Rt, Rp, Rv, Rc and is therefore a general roughness tester for the quality control of surfaces.
During the measurement, the sensor is placed on the surface to be measured and then the measured value is displayed on the large OLED screen of the roughness meter. In addition to the numeric measurement value display, the measurement profile can be displayed graphically. The PCE-RT 2000 roughness meter is powered by a rechargeable battery as it has an automatic power off function to save battery. The surface controller charger is included in the package.
The PCE-RT 2000 roughness meter has a micro USB cable, through which it can be charged. Thanks to the software, the measurement data can be transmitted to a computer for further evaluation and documentation of the results.
Below is an interpretation of the main results that the PCE-RT 2000 gives after the measurement:
Rz = average roughness depth
The average roughness Rz is the arithmetic average of the largest degrees of roughness of several adjacent individual measuring sections.
Ra = number average roughness
Ra is the generally recognized and internationally applied roughness parameter. It is the arithmetic mean of the absolute values of the deviations of the profile from the reference line. The measured Ra value is always less than the Rz value determined on the same roughness profile.
Rt = maximum surface roughness
The maximum surface roughness Rt is the distance between the highest and lowest point of the measuring section.
Rq = root mean square roughness
Rq is the root mean square of all axial measurements (coordinates) within the defined measurement distance l. Rq corresponds to the name RMS (Root Mean Square).
