The PCE-VM 40-MODEM is a GSM / UMTS mobile modem for the PCE-VM 40C vibration meter. It adds remote alarm reporting over the mobile network. The modem works on 4G (LTE B3, B8, B20) and 2G (E-GSM-900, DCS-1800).

In an alarm condition the modem sends an SMS containing the X / Y / Z measured values, the date, the time and the device name. Calling the device returns the alarm number and the maximum value by SMS.
