The PCE-VT 204 is a handheld tachometer that measures both rotation and 3-axis vibration. Rotation is measured by contact (mechanical) or without contact (optical). Vibration is shown as velocity, displacement and acceleration. It is used to test and inspect machine parts such as motors, transmissions, gears, gear boxes and wheels.
The vibration sensor can be used flat, with the magnetic base or with the supplied fastening screw to make contact with the surface. Internal frequency filters suppress background noise, so only the target vibration is detected. Transferring readings to a PC requires the optional software; see accessories.
