The PCE-USC 30 measures coating thickness non-destructively using the eddy current method. With this method, surface or near-surface defects can be detected and classified. Additionally, the Caliper has the capability to measure the material's conductivity.
The ergonomic design of the device, the light weight, the battery life of approximately 8 hours, the wide variety of sensors covering a large frequency range up to 3.5 MHz, and the software for report generation make the Caliper ideal and reliable for a wide range of applications in the aviation sector for testing blade components or turbine holes, for weld seam testing and crack testing, for pipeline and container testing in the chemical industry and the oil and gas industry, or in mechanical engineering for quality control of semi-finished products, sheets, strip products, or individual components.
