The PCE-2000N is a portable hardness tester for metallic materials. It uses the Leeb rebound method: a hard metal ball strikes the test surface with a defined impact energy. The resulting plastic deformation causes an energy loss. This loss is proportional to the hardness and is calculated from the ratio of rebound to impact velocity.
The compact tester replaces heavy static testing machines in incoming and outgoing inspection, in production and wherever hardness affects quality. It covers 7 hardness scales and 10 materials. It ships with a type D impact device. Impactors DC, DL, C, D + 15, E and G are optional. Data is saved directly to a USB stick. It has an easy-to-read OLED display, long standby time, a handy housing and symbol-based menus.
