The PCE-900 is a portable Leeb hardness tester for metals. It measures the hardness of nine different metals using the Leeb rebound method. A firing pin bounces off the metal surface, and the strength of the rebound indicates the material hardness. Results are shown in 6 hardness scales: Rockwell, Vickers, Leeb, Brinell and Shore. Rockwell is split into Rockwell B and C.
A type D impact probe is supplied as standard. With the optional software, readings can be sent live to a PC. This makes the PCE-900 well suited to material inspection in incoming goods control.
