Thickness gauges are instruments designed for fast, repeatable thickness measurement on flexible materials, using controlled contact force and flat anvils to minimize sample deformation. They are commonly used on paper, films, bags, leather and thin plastic sheets.

Available in analog (dial) and digital versions, with different throat depths, contact tip diameters and resolutions for ultra-thin film or softer substrates. Options include easy zeroing, rigid frames and high-contrast readouts, from Insize, Kafer & Teclock.

Well suited for QC in printing, packaging and converting, where choosing the right resolution and measuring force is critical for reliable results.
