The PCE-LD 1 is a handheld gas detector for locating CFC/HFC refrigerant leaks. It detects R-134a, R-404A, R-407C, R-410A and R-22 in line with EN 14624. The sensor sits at the end of a 390 mm / 15.35 in flexible goose-neck tube, so it reaches leaks in tight spots on HVACR refrigeration systems.

Sensitivity is switchable between high and low to SAE J1627 criteria, and the detector still finds leaks in areas contaminated by other gases. Audible and visual alarms warn the user, while a tricolour LED shows the gas concentration.
