The ultrasonic caliper can measure material thickness up to 225 mm / 8.85". In order to be able to measure the material thickness of a wide variety of homogeneous materials, it is possible to store the corresponding sound speed in the caliper, as the caliper has a material library and for materials such as steel, aluminum, zinc, silver and gold, the appropriate sound speeds are already stored.
With the limit value function, individual maximum and minimum values can be stored, so that when the measured value of the sample is outside these limits, the caliper displays a corresponding indication on the screen as well as an audible alarm.
The caliper has a data memory in which the measured values can be stored. The stored data is displayed graphically on the screen as well as the maximum, minimum and average value of the measurements.
