The PCE-USC 30 measures coating thickness non-destructively using the eddy current method. With this method, surface or near-surface defects can be identified and classified. In addition, the caliper has the ability to measure the conductivity of the material.
The ergonomic design of the device, the light weight, the battery autonomy of about 8 hours, the wide variety of sensors to cover a wide range of frequencies up to 3.5 MHz and the software for generating reports make the caliper ideal and reliable for a wide range applications in the aviation sector for testing turbine blade or bore components, for welding seam testing and crack testing, for pipeline and container testing in the chemical and oil and gas industries, or in mechanical engineering for quality control of semi-finished products, sheets, strip products or individual parts.
