Solid Carbide – Solid carbide, composed of tungsten carbide (WC) and cobalt (Co) as a binder. It offers excellent wear resistance, high hardness, and thermal stability. It is particularly brittle and fragile.

TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) – Titanium carbonitride. Provides greater hardness and wear resistance compared to TiN, while further reducing friction.
