A Gloss Meter (gloss meter or glossmeter) measures how glossy a surface is. Two types of instruments are available on the market: single-angle 60° instruments and a type that combines 20°, 60°, and 85°. The 60° instruments are the most common medium gloss ones used for coatings, plastics, marbles, wooden floors, etc.For other materials, two additional angles are used. The 45° angle is used for measuring fabrics and anodized aluminum, while the 75° angle is for paper.
