 PCE-950 Portable rebound hardness tester
for use on cast steel, forged steel, cold-rolled steel, stainless steel, cast iron, malleable iron, aluminum alloy, brass, copper, and forged copper alloys

The PCE-950 is a portable hardness tester used to determine the hardness of 10 different types of metal (e.g., cast iron, forged steel, cold-rolled steel, stainless steel, cast iron, malleable iron, aluminum alloy, brass, forged copper alloy) according to the Leeb rebound method. In addition to Leeb hardness units (HL), the metal hardness tester displays hardness measurements in Rockwell C, Rockwell B, Rockwell A, Brinell, Vickers, and Shore units. In this dynamic hardness testing method, a small carbide ball strikes the test surface. The ratio of rebound to impact velocity is directly related to the material's hardness and can be converted into different hardness scales, as mentioned above. Thanks to the ergonomic small size design of the instrument and the integrated impact device, hardness tests can be performed quickly and easily. An internal memory allows storage of up to 600 measurements, and thanks to the included software, further processing of the results on a computer via USB is possible. The PCE-950 is ideal for internal and external inspection of metal parts, as it can serve as a key tool for engineers in quality control.
