Cylindrometers are comparative instruments used for measuring cylinders. The cylindrometer must first be set to the nominal value of the hole in order to then measure the variation of the hole from the nominal. This is usually done with the help of a micrometer. For applications requiring greater accuracy, 3-contact micrometers are used. Finally, for small holes, opometers are used.
