Lathe boring bars
Internal turning toolholders (boring bars/toolholders for bores) are designed for machining internal diameters on lathes. They are used for internal turning, shoulder profiling, and groove features, as well as internal parting or finishing operations, delivering rigidity and accuracy across a wide range of bore sizes. They are essential whenever tight tolerances, consistent surface finish, and repeatable results are required in cylindrical internal machining.
This collection includes options in different shank diameters and reach lengths, with right-hand/left-hand cutting orientations and compatibility with common insert standards. You’ll find toolholders for indexable carbide inserts, secure clamping systems, and vibration-control geometries to reduce chatter in deep bores and improve dimensional stability, from Echain and Yg.
