Metallography Equipment

Metallography is the study of the microstructure of metals and alloys using a variety of techniques, including the use of different machines. Some of the key machines commonly used in metallography are:

• Etching machines: These machines are used to reveal the microstructure of the sample by selectively removing material from the surface. The most common etching machines are electrolytic etching machines and chemical etching machines.
• Microscopes: Microscopes are used to examine the microstructure of the sample at different magnifications. The most commonly used microscopes in metallography include optical microscopes, electron microscopes, and scanning probe microscopes.
• Image analysis systems: These systems are used for capturing, analyzing, and documenting the microstructural features of the sample. They are commonly used in combination with microscopes and provide quantitative data about the microstructure.
