"a+" and "a-" or "b+" and "b-" represent the color contrasts red, green, yellow, and blue. The colorimeter is a measuring and evaluation instrument for the color on the respective examined surface. A light source illuminates an object, which then absorbs part of this light and reflects the rest. This reflected light can then be detected by a sensor in order to determine the reflected wavelengths and thus calculate its color. Colorimeters are often used in quality control sectors in industrial fields.
The PCE-CSM 2 colorimeter has 8 mm measurement aperture . The supported color spaces of the PCE-CSM 2 colorimeter are CIEL*a*b*C*h, CIEL a*b*, and CIEXYZ. It is suitable for measuring on liquids, fabrics, even food. Therefore, the PCE-CSM 2 colorimeter is ideally applied for measurements e.g. of meat, banana, or tomato. Thanks to the included "CQCS3" software, measurement data can be transferred to a computer for further analysis and processing.
