Live centres are designed for work on lathes. Their extended clamping part allows easy access of the tool to the workpiece. This is advantageous for cutting with tools that have replaceable cutting tips and for work on copying lathes. The construction of the live centre allows adjustment of radial clearance. The live centre has a clamping shank MORSE CSN 22 0420 (DIN 228, ISO 296) without a clamping thread.
