The PCE-CRC 10 is designed to determine the quality of coating adhesion and is suitable for thin, thick, or hard coatings on all surfaces. The measurement is performed very quickly and easily as follows: the coating is cross-scratched and thus divided into sections with a grid appearance. The large, non-slip handle and the portable sensor facilitate safe application without tilting. Then adhesive tape is applied to the grid area and subsequently removed. Based on the number of broken sections, the adhesion strength is determined. The PCE-CRC 10 comes with an 11-tooth blade.
Since the adhesion of paints and other coatings is a critical quality feature for their protective reliability, adhesion testers are used in a wide range of applications such as the paint, coating, and plastics industries and anywhere coatings are applied. Additionally, the tester is suitable for manufacturers of road marking materials.
