- Use note: When pitch is <0.4 mm or >63.5 TPI, setting standards cannot be used to set zero; a calibrated workpiece can be used instead

Description
These setting standards (thread measuring tips) are used to check and set (zero/verify) external screw thread micrometers. They are placed in the micrometer to provide a correct measurement reference for 60° or 55° thread forms, depending on the application.
