The wood moisture meter can check up to 44 different types of wood for their moisture content, of which 36 are hardwoods and 8 are conifers such as beech, fir, pine, and maple. The PCE-WMT 200 moisture meter has the capability to measure up to 150% moisture with simultaneous temperature measurement (-20 ... 50°C / -4 ... 122°F). Before starting the measurement, the user must connect the moisture meter to an electronic device (mobile phone or tablet) running Android or iOS via Bluetooth. During measurement, a pair of needles penetrates the wood with the help of the impact piston. Then, the type of wood to be measured is selected through a device, and the measurement begins. The measured value appears after a few seconds on the mobile screen, where it can be saved in CSV and PDF format. The package also includes a second pair of needles for greater measurement depth. The moisture meter is powered by a 9V power supply or battery.
