The PCE-WS CR is a wind speed sensor for fixed installation. It measures wind speed from 0.8 ... 50 m/s (2.62 ... 164.04 ft/s). It is used in wind warning systems, building services, building automation and home technology. Its star-shaped design works regardless of wind direction.

Depending on the model, the series offers a 4 ... 20 mA, 0 ... 10 V, Modbus or pulse output. This version has an adjustable relay output. The robust plastic housing resists rust and corrosion and is rated IP65. The design also protects the sensor against high-frequency and electromagnetic radiation. A 20 m (65 ft) connection cable is standard. A stainless steel mounting kit is optional.

Anemometers

The anemometers are measuring instruments used to determine the speed and, in many cases, the direction of the wind. They are essential equipment for meteorology and industry, enabling accurate assessment of air masses and ensuring the safe operation of technical projects.

  • Types: They are classified into propeller (vane), anemometers with cups (cup), as well as thermal (hot-wire) or ultrasonic for high-sensitivity measurements.
