Anemometer PCE-WSAC 50W 24
Wind warning radio system / Wind monitoring on construction cranes / 4 ... 20 mA Analog Output / Power supply 110 ... 230 V AC or +24 V DC

The PCE-WSAC 50W anemometer is mainly used for measuring and monitoring wind load on cranes or wind turbines. Additionally, the wind condition can be measured and analyzed before a wind turbine is put into operation. The anemometer  PCE-WSAC 50W is equipped with an alarm relay for pre-alarm or main alarm.

Due to the high measuring range up to 50 m/s of the  anemometer , gusty winds can also be monitored. The radio range of the  anemometer  it is in open field up to 750 m / 2500 ft in the free frequency band of 2.4 GHz. When installing the PCE-WSAC 50W wind alarm display in buildings, a range of up to 60 m / 200 ft can be achieved for the wind sensor. Due to the integrated 4 ... 20 mA analog output of the wind alarm display, the measurement data can also be transferred to other units for evaluation.

From our Wiki

Anemometers

The anemometers are measuring instruments used to determine the speed and, in many cases, the direction of the wind. They are essential equipment for meteorology and industry, enabling accurate assessment of air masses and ensuring the safe operation of technical projects.

  • Types: They are classified into propeller (vane), anemometers with cups (cup), as well as thermal (hot-wire) or ultrasonic for high-sensitivity measurements.
  • Applications: They are used in navigation, monitoring HVAC systems, construction cranes, wind farms, and air sports.
  • Features: Modern digital anemometers provide measurements in multiple units (m/s, knots, km/h) and often calculate air flow (CMM/CFM) and temperature.
