A feeler gage or sometimes a "valve feeler" is a tool used to measure clearances. Each blade indicates its thickness. The feeler set gages are available with different numbers of blades (8, 10, 13, 20, 28, 32), in different lengths from 100 to 500 mm, in different materials (stainless steel, brass) and finally in metric or inch.
