The PCE-IT 55 is a handheld insulation tester. It measures insulation resistance up to 2000 MΩ at test voltages of 250, 500 and 1000 V. It also measures AC voltage up to 750 V, DC voltage up to 1000 V and resistance up to 2 kΩ. The test current is shown and a warning buzzer signals live circuits.

The tester is rated CAT III 1000 V and meets DIN 57 411 part 1 / VDE 0411 part 1, IEC1010-1 and DIN VDE 0413. It ships factory calibrated; an ISO calibration certificate for annual recalibration is available separately.
