The PCE-ITE 55B is a multifunction insulation tester for electrical safety testing to EN 61557 and DIN VDE 0100. It measures insulation resistance between live parts and earth, loop and line impedance, protective conductor continuity, voltage, frequency and phase rotation. RCDs of type A, AC, B, B+ and F can be tested, including tripping time and contact voltage.

Loop resistance measurement confirms that a fault current will trip the supply safely. A graphical wiring diagram guides the operator through each test. Display brightness is adjustable in 4 levels, an alarm tone signals errors or limit values, and the auto-off time is adjustable. Supplied test leads are rated CAT III / 600 V and CAT IV / 300 V. Optional EVSE adapters allow testing of wall boxes and EV charging stations.
