The PCE-DRA 1 is a handheld digital antifreeze refractometer. It measures the concentration (% by volume) or the freezing point of ethylene glycol and propylene glycol coolants. It is IP65 rated and has automatic temperature compensation (ATC) from +10 ... +40 °C / +50 ... +104 °F. A large LCD shows the reading and the temperature. It does not work with Organic Acid Technology (OAT) or orange antifreeze.

Select one of four menu scales: S01 and S02 for ethylene glycol, S03 and S04 for propylene glycol (concentration and freezing point). Each measurement gives one value. Put a few drops on the prism, close the lid and start. Typical uses are vehicle coolant and industrial cooling and heating systems in food and pharmaceutical plants, solar systems and heat pumps.
