The PCE-DRB 2 is a portable digital refractometer used to determine the refractive index and liquid content of dextran, fructose, glucose, lactose and maltose (%). This IP65 (Waterproof) digital refractometer features automatic temperature compensation (ATC) from +10 ... +40 °C / +50 ... +104 °F, as well as a large, easy-to-read LCD display that shows both measured value and temperature.
Knowing the level of fructose allows conclusions to be drawn about the quality and ripeness of products, such as different types of fruit. The fructose level in fruit changes over time and it is important to determine the best time with the optimal fructose content so that not only the best fruit is delivered to consumers, but also to provide the best material for the production of juices and jams. It also indicates what the optimal storage conditions should be.
A basic condition for proper maintenance of the device is to keep it clean, protected from shocks and strong vibrations and timely calibrated.
