The PCE-DRB 2 is a handheld digital refractometer. It measures the refractive index (nD) of liquids and their dextran, fructose, glucose, lactose and maltose content (%). It is IP65-rated and has automatic temperature compensation (ATC) from +10 ... +40 °C / +50 ... +104 °F. The large LCD shows both the measured value and the temperature. Close the lid before measuring.

Fructose readings show the quality and ripeness of fruit within seconds. They help to set harvest time, storage conditions and storage time, and the sugar and additive levels for jams, jellies and juices. Fruit, vegetables and berries can be tested in food plants, in the field, before shipping or at the market.
