The PCE-Oe is a handheld pocket refractometer for winemakers. It measures the sugar content of unfermented grape juice to predict the alcohol content of the wine. Its triple scale shows all three parameters at once: °Oechsle (°Oe), % Brix / sac and KMN / babo.

The eyepiece focuses very smoothly. The scale is easy to read on a semi-transparent blue and a fully transparent clear background. Ambient room light is enough to read the result. Automatic temperature compensation (ATC) keeps readings accurate without recalibration when the operating temperature changes.
