Straight Edges
1 από 1 productFlatness Gauge
Straight edges are reference tools for checking flatness and straightness on machined surfaces. They are used for visual inspection or together with feeler gauges to detect gaps, twist and deviations on tables, surface plates and machine ways.
Available as knife-edge, flat and H-type designs, in multiple lengths and accuracy grades per DIN 874 (GG2 up to GG00). Options include steel or granite, precision-ground finishes and calibration, from Preisser, Insize & Richter.
Suitable for machine shops, maintenance and QC; choose length and grade based on your reference surface and required tolerance.
Flatness Stripes
The straight edges (straight edges) are standard inspection tools used to verify the straightness and flatness of large surfaces. Unlike common rulers, straight edges focus on the edge accuracy of their working edge, which serves as an absolute reference guide for identifying deviations and waviness.
- Types: They are classified into straight edges with a rectangular cross-section and knife-edge straight edges (knife-edge) for high-precision checks using the light-gap method.
- Materials: They are made from special tool steel, cast iron, or black granite for maximum thermal stability.
- Applications: Essential in machine grinding, machine tool assembly, and engine maintenance (cylinder head inspection).
