Standard Weights

The standard weights are reference objects with a precisely defined mass, which are used for the calibration and accuracy verification of scales and weighing systems. They form the basis for ensuring measurement traceability, in accordance with the international standards of the OIML (International Organization of Legal Metrology).

  • Accuracy Classes: They are classified into classes such as E1 and E2 (high laboratory accuracy), F1 and F2 (analytical balances) and M1, M2, M3 (industrial use).
  • Materials: They are made of stainless steel (for protection against corrosion and magnetic influence) or cast iron for heavy loads.
  • Use: Essential for regular calibration of precision scales, checking industrial crane scales, and certification of quality systems.
