The PCE-007 environmental meter measures wind speed and air temperature. Enter the duct cross section and it also shows the air volume flow. Readings are stored in the device and transferred to a PC through the RS-232 interface, so field measurements can be evaluated back at the office.

The impeller is separate and connected by a 1.5 m / 4.9 ft long cable. The meter is standard equipment for ventilation system installers. Battery life is approx. 50 hours at a current of 300-mA/h. For timed measurements over a period longer than 2 days, use a battery pack or a power adapter.

Anemometers

The anemometers are measuring instruments used to determine the speed and, in many cases, the direction of the wind. They are essential equipment for meteorology and industry, enabling accurate assessment of air masses and ensuring the safe operation of technical projects.

  • Types: They are classified into propeller (vane), anemometers with cups (cup), as well as thermal (hot-wire) or ultrasonic for high-sensitivity measurements.
  • Applications: They are used in navigation, monitoring HVAC systems, construction cranes, wind farms, and air sports.
  • Features: Modern digital anemometers provide measurements in multiple units (m/s, knots, km/h) and often calculate air flow (CMM/CFM) and temperature.
