PCE-2000N Rebound Hardness Tester
Hardness meter for metallic materials / Different impact detectors / 7 different hardness units / Data storage on USB stick
Hardness meter for metallic materials / Different impact detectors / 7 different hardness units / Data storage on USB stick
The PCE-Instruments PCE-2000N metal hardness tester uses the Leeb method. This is a dynamic hardness testing method in which a hard metal ball strikes a test surface with a specified impact energy. The impact of the hard metal ball on the test surface results in plastic deformation of the surface at the point of impact. This deformation results in a loss of energy, which is proportional to the hardness of the specimen and can be determined from the ratio of the rebound velocity to the impact velocity of the specimen.
The PCE Instruments hardness tester can be used to measure six different hardness scales (HL, HV, HRA, HRC, HB, HV, HS) as well as ten different materials.
The durometer is delivered with a D impactor, however optionally other impactors (DC, DL, C, D + 15, E, G) can be connected for more specific applications. In addition, data can be saved directly to a USB stick, which further extends the versatility of this portable hardness tester. With an extremely easy-to-read OLED display, ergonomic design and an easy-to-use menu, the instrument is extremely easy to operate.
