The PCE-A 430 is a handheld cup anemometer for wind speed and air temperature. It measures 0.7 ... 30 m/s, up to 105 km/h, with readings in m/s, km/h, kn or mph. An integrated sensor measures temperature in °C and °F. A Beaufort scale gives a quick assessment of wind force.

MAX and average values are shown on the backlit LCD. The meter switches off after 15 minutes of inactivity, giving a battery life of at least approx. 30 hours. A carrying case is supplied.

Anemometers

The anemometers are measuring instruments used to determine the speed and, in many cases, the direction of the wind. They are essential equipment for meteorology and industry, enabling accurate assessment of air masses and ensuring the safe operation of technical projects.

  • Types: They are classified into propeller (vane), anemometers with cups (cup), as well as thermal (hot-wire) or ultrasonic for high-sensitivity measurements.
