The PCE-BTM 2000A belt tension meter optically measures the natural frequency (Hz) of a stationary belt and calculates its tension. A light tap sets the belt vibrating. The sensor head sits on a semi-flexible gooseneck and reaches tight spots. Frequency is always displayed. If you enter the belt length and mass (optional), it also shows tension in N or lbf. The memory holds 750 readings, and the graphic menu is available in six languages.
It suits timing, ribbed and V-belts when installing, setting up, maintaining and repairing belt drives. Use it to check a drive before commissioning, and store readings as references for later maintenance. Typical fields: industrial production, motor technology, stepper motors, machine and tool building, conveyors, lifting equipment, lifts, automotive and agricultural machinery, and household or office equipment.
