PCE-COM 20 Conductivity Meter for non-ferrous metals
Wide measurement range up to 112% IACS or 65 MS/m with lift-off and temperature compensation, built-in memory, PC-compatible software, operating frequency 60 kHz
The PCE-COM 20 is a portable non-destructive conductivity meter for non-ferrous metals. This non-destructive testing (NDT) device uses eddy currents to determine the electrical conductivity of non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and copper.
Featuring an operating frequency of 60 kHz, the conductivity meter has a wide measurement range of 0.51 ... 112% IACS with an accuracy of +/- 0.5% at 20°C / 68°F. Thanks to readings up to 0.01% IACS, automatic temperature compensation (ATC), and lift-off compensation (up to 500 μm), the device ensures fast, easy, accurate, and reproducible measurements of coated or corroded parts under changing environmental conditions.
Measuring the electrical conductivity of non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, titanium, magnesium, or bronze is essential in applications like tolerance limit evaluation of heat-treated or hardened materials, authenticity checking of coin alloys, verification of alloy inhomogeneity in critical components, and material classification.
The conductivity meter is powered by an internal battery that can be charged via the interface at the bottom of the unit. Besides the connection for the charging adapter, there is a USB port that allows the transfer of measurement data to a computer for more detailed analysis and data processing.
