The PCE-COM 20 is a portable handheld conductivity meter for non-ferrous metals. It uses eddy current for non-destructive testing (NDT) of aluminium, copper, titanium, magnesium and bronze. Operating frequency 60 kHz, measuring range 0.51 ... 112% IACS, accuracy ±0.5% at 20°C / 68°F, resolution 0.01% IACS. Automatic temperature compensation (ATC) and lift-off compensation up to 500 μm give repeatable readings on coated or corroded parts.
Uses include electrical conductors, alloy characterisation, strength checks on heat-treated or hardened materials, authenticity testing of coin alloys, alloy inhomogeneities in critical parts and material sorting. The internal battery charges via the port on the bottom; USB transfers data to a PC.
