The PCE-CPC 50 air sampler is designed for fixed installation and measures particles from 0.3 μm to 10 μm in real time. Results are given in particles per m³, per litre or per 28.3 l. An internal pump draws the sample. Particles crossing the laser scatter light, and a photoelectric transducer converts the scattered light into a pulse: the larger the particle, the larger the pulse.

Modbus RTU and MQTT via RS485 link the unit to existing networks, and analogue 4 ... 20 mA outputs cover 4 measuring channels. Sampling time is adjustable from 1 to 10 min and pause time from 1 to 1000 min, for continuous monitoring of the cleanliness level.

Dust Meters

Dust meters (or particle counters) are air quality monitoring instruments that detect the concentration of suspended particles (Particulate Matter - PM). Their operation is usually based on laser scattering (laser scattering) technology, where a beam of light strikes the particles and the sensor calculates their size and quantity.

  • Particle Categories:PM2.5: Fine particles (up to 2.5 μm) that penetrate deep into the lungs and the bloodstream.PM10: Particles (up to 10 μm) such as dust, pollen, and mold.
  • Applications:Industry: Dust control in carpentry workshops, cement plants, and mines to protect workers.Cleanrooms (Cleanrooms): Certification of pharmaceutical or electronics production areas.Environment: Monitoring of air pollution and "smog" in cities.
  • Features: They include a data recording function (data logging), audible limit-exceedance alerts, and often also measure temperature and humidity in parallel.
