The PCE-CSM 8 is a colour meter and spectrophotometer for quality control. It measures colour through an 8 mm aperture with 45°/0° optics and shows the results in several colour spaces on a 3.5" touch screen.

A reading can be saved as a named reference value, and further readings stored as samples and compared with it for Pass/Fail. Along with the colour space coordinates, the device shows the deviation (delta E). It holds up to 1000 reference values and 10,000 samples. Data is transferred to a PC via USB; the PC software is included.

Colorimeters

The colorimeters are specialized measuring instruments that determine the absorption of specific wavelengths of light by a solution. They are based on the Beer-Lambert law to correlate color intensity with the concentration of a substance, enabling the objective analysis of color parameters that the human eye cannot quantify accurately.
