The PCE-GA 12 is a hand-held detector for combustible gases, with readings up to 10000 ppm. When gas is found, it triggers an 85 dB audible alarm and a vibrating alarm. The semi-rigid 400 mm probe can be bent into almost any position to reach inaccessible places.

Typical uses are plant walk-round inspections, checking engines and supply lines, and testing gas supply lines. Calibration is automatic, so no manual setting is needed. The detector runs on its rechargeable battery or from the mains using the AC power adapter. The sensor lasts about 5 years and is interchangeable.
