The PCE-HTS 50 is a horizontal test stand for tensile tests up to 500 N. The travel path is 270 mm, so large or elastic samples can be tested. Travel speed is set in 1 mm/min steps from 1 to 500 mm/min. Typical uses include quality control of films, rubber bands and ropes.

In manual mode the stand moves only while the travel button is held; in automatic mode it runs on its own and stops at the limit switch. The limit switches are freely adjustable, so the travel path can be restricted to protect the force gauge or to define the tensile length. PCE force gauges and various chucks can be fitted.
