The light meter has a wide measurement range of 0 … 400 klux. Illumination is measured using an external silicon photodiode with spectral filter in lux and footcandles. The measured value is displayed on the photometer screen both numerically and graphically. The measured value can be compared with a reference value by pressing the "REL" button. The photometer also features maximum and minimum value measurement functions, which are displayed on the screen by pressing the corresponding "MAX" and "MIN" buttons. With the "PEAK" function, the photometer records the maximum light values it detects at a sampling rate of 1 per 10 µs.
The PCE-LMD 10 has a memory of 32000 records. These data can be exported in csv format for further analysis and processing on a computer.
Measurement can also be taken live via computer.
The built-in 3.7 V Li-Ion battery can be recharged via 5V DC voltage through micro-USB. Optionally, an ISO calibration certificate is available.
