The PCE-MFI 400 is a plastometer for determining the melt mass flow rate (MFR/MFI) of plastics. It heats the granulate sample up to 400 °C and measures melting rates of 0.1 ... 400 g/10 min to ISO 1133. All test parameters and results are shown on the 7" TFT touch display.
Use it for incoming inspection and production monitoring of thermoplastics. Standard plastics are preset: Polystyrene (PS), Polypropylene (PP), Polyethylene (PE), ABS, Polycarbonate (PC), Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), POM, MABS, SAN, E/VAC and others, together with the test temperatures and test weights specified in ISO 1133. Further materials can be added and saved permanently. The automatic cutting function improves reproducibility.
